Stella's is closed? But they always did such good business. They must have been run by either crooks or criminals. Or did the landlord just want the space?

According to people on LJ Seattle, cutting back from 24 hours, then expanding hours again but not to 24 hours, confused a lot of clientele. (Nobody knew for sure when they were open, and they had a lot of business from people who knew they would be open really late. After the cutbacks, people weren't sure, and went where they were sure.) Then the landlord hiked rates a lot after they got people on the Roosevelt/45th side of the building again and could afford to risk driving out a tenant. And did.

Sorry for your bad day. :( As for Stella's, I'll miss it conceptually but the last 4 times I went there it really wasn't good. Very mediocre food. Hopefully something really great and tasty will replace it.

Sorry that your day and week have been poor-quality, and that Stella's closed. Would iris rhizomes make it any better? I could dig some up and bring them on Friday. I have one variety that might bloom again in the fall, so you wouldn't have to wait until next year for the flowers.
