I have my laptop back, as of this afternoon. And lo, it was better. Well, it's back to like it was before its hard drive started fucking up. So that's good! So far, anyway.

I also ripped a bunch of weeds out of the ground down by the street yesterday afternoon; I got a massive allergy attack out of that, proving that hey, that was really stupid! And deeply uncomfortable. As in, still feeling the effects today. Man, I hate having allergies. Fucking grass. Fucking weeds. All that meant that I didn't bike today, which I'd kind of planned to do. Maybe tomorrow. (Biking takes me through grassy areas. It's been safe this year so far, but I need to wait for this attack to die down more completely before that.)

Been thinking more about ways to engineer stuff I want to research in grad school. Also drew a little on Tuesday, which is good, since that wasn't a formal art night. Mmmmm, thinky brains. Mmmmmmm, pencil art. (I have a big time doing things that I specifically enjoy and aren't in some way "necessary chores" if they aren't part of a scheduled event or timeslot. I've been working on fixing it for a while, but haven't gotten very far. So small successes are good.)

Wednesday's miles: 1.1
Tuesday's miles: 0.6. I think.
Miles out of Hobbiton: 235.
Miles to Rivendell: 222.3

A couple of other plants seem to be working their way towards flowering, so hopefully there will be more soon. Even if my camera doesn't work, [livejournal.com profile] spazzkat's does, so yay. ^_^

Wearing a dust mask may help a bit with allergies while doing yard work. I've seen groundskeepers around here wearing them while trimming, leaf-blowing, etc.
