coated in nasty dust
Dec. 10th, 2004 04:43 pm+1: Scene: 5th Avenue NE. An ambulance trying to get through the intersection.
<SIREN HORN>
<SIREN HORN>
Loudspeaker: "PLEASE PULL YOUR CAR OVER TO THE RIGHT."
<short pause>:
Loudspeaker: "YOUR OTHER RIGHT. PLEASE MOVE OVER TO YOUR OTHER RIGHT."
<short pause>:
Loudspeaker: "THANK YOU."
-2: I hate wall work. Why do I hate wall work? Because it's nasty. I'm COATED in skimcoat dust. But that's not the real reason. The real reason is that, as an artist, the BEST I can hope for is a perfectly flat white surface. In other words, a blank canvas. In still other words: If I really work my ass off at it, I can accomplish absolutely nothing.
I hate wall work.
-3: The roof is leaking, and some of it is right where I'm working, on top of it all. Yay.
+/-4: Someone else gets to do that shit. ^_^ Shame about the budget, though. ;_;
+5: Tea break!
-6: No creme for the tea. Ah well.
+7: Bucky Birthday Bowling tomorrow! W00t!
-8: My solstice cards aren't close to done. But I am working on them. Slowly.
Back to work!

Date: 2004-12-10 10:15 pm (UTC)Ugh.. that does suck, and not even an over-active imagination can make that worthwhile
("See my masterpiece?" "What is it?" "It's a snowman lost in a blizzard, that peed his pants- that's the wet spot.")
Ok, so it's old, overused, and cliche', but what else do you expect at 1am? dissertation? ;)
Tea is good, and call me strange, but I drink it only with sugar, though I've toyed with the idea of adding cream- just never really appealed to me... now if it were coffee, I wouldn't touch it if you dumped a whole cup of sugar and had a 1:4 Coffee to milk ratio... it would still taste like burnt water to me...
At least you've started... I haven't really had the time or money to do it this year... probably most anyone will get from me this year is a Holiday email... ::sigh:: being poor sucks
