South Carolina voters receive "Vote for Daschle is a Vote for SODOMY" window stickers

And this is the kind of thing I think about when I see complaints about Democrats pulling lawyers "pre-emptively" into the campaign - it's in response to this kind of stuff:

In Florida, anonymous "absentee ballot" collectors targeting elderly, minourity, low-income Democratic voters, claiming to be election officials. Ballots then disappear.

In South Dakota, More illegal absentee ballot handling, and KELO-TV reported that the former governor and GOP congressman in South Dakota says the national GOP is encouraging campaign workers to cheat

Oregon GOP to target Democratic-heavy polling places to watch voting and challenge vote legitimacy on any technicality.

Republicans are going to place around 3,500 vote-challengers in polling places... just in Ohio, iirc. Democrats are hoping to have 2,000 counter-observers.

Since I think sodomy is kind of fun, maybe I should get a sticker? *g*

I couldn't volunteer to be an observer since stupid Pennsylvania doesn't make election day a holiday and I have to work....

Don't feel bad- I'm in PA too, and I have to work election day as well... then again, Verizon made me work Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years... PA is a rather backwards state imho...

Are the republicans so afraid of losing that they have to resort to cheating? That's just ridiculous. but then again, I suspect cheating in the last election with the Florida debacle...

Actually, as I understand the matter, that story is disputed. According to David Greenberg:
Completed Dec. 9, the recount of 863 precincts showed that the original tally had undercounted Nixon's (and Adamowski's) votes, but only by 943, far from the 4,500 needed to alter the results. In fact, in 40 percent of the rechecked precincts, Nixon's vote was overcounted.

Furthermore, there was evidence of vote fraud outside Chicago by Republicans.

True... I was asked if I could monitor the polls here on Tues, but due to the fact that I have to work, I can't... I hope I have enough time beforehand to get to the polls...

As far as the vote fraud bit goes, I've seen it more this election with the republicans than I have any other time...
