What I've been doing the last several days

Publications department at Noreascon 4, the World Science Fiction Convention. In particular, I went to shadow their at-convention newsletter's editor, and ended up being put in charge of what ended up being issues 3, 5a, 5b, 9, 12a, 12b, 42h, and 14 of this thing.

42h is a self-parody, of course. La la la.

Hot and tired now. Currently at the famous Andor, in fabulous Somerville, Gateway to Medford. Bed soon. G'night!

I just moved Zan out of Somerville two weeks ago. Unfortunately she had to be out by the end of August, so she couldn't make the convention. It would have been nice to go with her, seeing as how she's a published author and all (And her publisher wants to meet me). Oh well, in two years it will be in Cal. I asked her if she was going to next year's, but being a Scot she has no desire at all to go to Glascow, and thinks no one else in their right mind should go either!

Yeah, well tell her that Edinbrugh is all petticoats and no knickers, and see what she thinks of that!

I really enjoyed Glasgow. It was certainly a pit for a while, but it was much nicer by the late 90s, and word is that it's continued to improve. So, um... yeah!

My 7th? grade math teacher lived in Medford. MA, right? I remember this because he made a point of telling us that it is "MED ford", not "Meffid". This was the same math teacher who taught us all about rhomtangles and rectbuses. (More commonly known as "squares".)
