Northgate area - Thornton Creek. 1228 NE 105th Place, specifically. Here're pictures. It's closer to 15th than I'd like, but 15db+ quieter than here, not counting assholiage.
That's in the driveway next door. Most of the lot is actually on the far side of the house. There's a small street access, then a widening lot going back towards the ravene.
Yeah, I probably would have kept looking if this had come up when we first started looking - mostly because of 15th but also because we were still looking for another arts-and-crafts era house - but at this point, it's kind of "any house that works." And this one works. Even if it's at the top of our price range. :( Oh well, at least it's in our price range. Now we just have to wait and see whether we get outbid or something!
That place looks really cool. The inside looks like someone acutally kind of knew what they were doing when they decorated. And there's not one but TWO spas.
Aside from several of the light fixtures and a bit of oddness with the master bath, it felt really well designed. I'm a little concerned about whether it'll be dark at night in winter, but I can fix a lot of that with the right window treatments if necessary.
Oh! What you can't tell is that the counter separating off the music-room type area in the basement is, in fact, the counter for a bar. The sink hookups are over behind the piano. Discovering this was funny at the time, but you probably had to be there.
is the hot tub in the backyard included? plus, that was a NICE looking ensuite bathroom (i think Americans call it the master bathroom - the one attached to the master bedroom). wish ours looked that good.
The offer's been faxed over to their agent. Now we see whether we get outbid. It's expensive enough that it's actually less likely than with several of the other houses we've tried to get. Fingers crossed!
There are a few odd features in some of the rooms in later pictures (in what's apparently another wing of the house). Like the bathroom with the toilet at a weird angle to the walls and cabinets, and the shelves that are on a raised area in one of the rooms.
But those are minor, easily fixable things. It's a cool place.

Good luck with the offer.
