No house for us. Another bidder came in at the same time with a $50,000 escalation clause, which means they'd beat any other bid up to $50,000 above list. We came in at list and could go up $15K but that was all. (It needs on the order of $50K of work.) So we're 0 for 4 or 0 for 5 or something now and it's all really depressing and god DAMMIT we need another place to live what the FUCK is up with this?

On the other hand, here's the best 70s house ever. YOU MUST CLICKIE. YOU MUST.

EDIT: Don't forget to click on the "More Pictures." It gets BETTER! CLICKIE! CLICKIE NOW, DAMN YOU! CLICKIE!

It reminds me of a house that's on one of the main entrance roads to Tilden Park in Berkeley that was built when I was a little girl (yes, in the 70s) and I thought the domes were SO COOL as they was being put in.

Also, SPIRAL STAIRCASE. Want.

Damn. Sorry about the house. A friend of mine has been trying to buy a house since 9/11 (yes, he lives in NY in sight of ground zero) and finally had someone accept his bid. But I'm not counting any chickens until after the closing.... Feh.

Cool Buckminster Fuller house!
