Our tenant for the Admiralty - who signed a year's lease a couple of weeks ago and who is supposedly moving in on the 15th - just called. His sister's moving into town and they've decided to live together, and he's breaking the lease.

MotherFUCKER.

We've turned down a dozen or more people since then, and the summer rental window is pretty much closed down at this point.

Do you have contact info for any of those dozen people? They might be less homeful than you think.

Not really. I mean, what they do is call, and ask right off, "...is it still available?" And I say "I'm sorry, no, I signed a rental agreement last week." And they say "darn. Thanks anyway!" and hang up.

Too bad Seattle biotech doesn't seem to be lining up to deal with my impending lack of anything to do with myself.

File a lawsuit, then at least he (hopefully) won't be able to screw over any other landlords...

But that is low, he signed an agreement, he should stick to it or at least help you find someone else to live there to replace him.

That sucks rocks. I do concur with Sian though, some of those people might still be looking for a place.
