The selling agent reneged on her promise to let us bid up if another bid came in and went with another offer. No house for us. Again.

Oh, and the buyers at 5026 backed out.

This week sucks.

Sorry to hear about your house woes. The right house will come along, and everything will fall into place. My mother always says that everything happens for a reason, that if you don't get something you want it is because there is something better for you in the future. And really, for all the disappointments I've experienced, there has always been something that came along that was good. So, a very good house will come for you, and a very stable and reliable buyer for 5026.

It's starting to look a lot more like it was our agent's fault, rather than the selling agent's fault. To a degree, it depends upon whose version of events you believe, but in the areas where I do know what happened, our agent made serious mistakes. I think it's time for a new agent.
