Do you believe...
In God? Yes. I don't know about the JHVH guy, but I think she's there.
In ghosts? Not in the sense of dead people in sheets.
In aliens? Given how much universe there is out there, I'd consider it essentially proof of the existance of an overall god of some sort if there weren't any. But not in the flying-saucer kind, no.
In Bigfoot? I JUST WANNA BE A NORMAL KID EATING GRUBS
In fairies? Depends upon how you mean it!
In ESP? The huxters who go around shilling their special powers, no. But in a greater sense, I'm uncertain.
In superstition? No, knock on wood. -_^ Rationally, absolutely not. But at the same time, I'm kind of a superstitious animist - I know the cabinet door hit me in the head on purpose, and I'm mad at it. Even if I also know that's really stupid. *^_^*;
In equal rights for gays? Stealing from Kathryn: not that they exist, but that they should.
In equal rights for women? Again, from Kathryn: Ditto. (Both are just in the category of civil rights, dammit.)
In psychics? Nope.
In appearances? I don't understand this entry. Do I believe appearances routinely exhibit what a person is like? Not really, no.
In auras? If question means in the sense of the whole "aura photography" business, then no.
In true love? Unquestioningly. Hi Anna! ^_^
In happy endings? No, because of endings. But for a particular part of a thread, perhaps.
In abortions? I think access to abortion has been a strong social good.
In Santa? What, am I four?
In soulmates? Yep. Hi Anna! ^_^
In magic? ...reluctantly.
In evolution? Duh. Yes. You have to be very, very stupid or very, very dogmatic - to the point of refusing to believe things in front of you - not to. Some people choose to do that for religious reasons. That's their call. Trying to make creationism into science, on the other hand, is deeply offensive and stupid. Stealing yet again from Kathryn: How can you NOT believe in evolution? Evolution is an observable fact, it's like gravity.
In cloning? In school, I used to work in a genetics lab. We did it all the time. Do I think it's a good idea for humans? Meh. Mostly, I think it'll get abused in bad ways, but it doesn't have to be.
In fraggles? We didn'thave HBO. <snif>
In werewolves? <giggles> What, you serious?
In vampires? The best thing ever to happen to vampires was Buffy.
In miracles? Again, reluctantly. Sort of. At the same time I hope for. Go figure.
In Nessie? No, but I totally wish she was real.
In existing dinosaurs? HELLO THIS IS NOT THE FLINTSTONES
In interracial marriages? God, where did this quiz get written? Yes.
In adoptions? Despite my bad experiences, yes.
In saving the rainforests? Yes.
In saving dying species? Yes.
In the human race? It's all around me...
In recycling? Very much so.
In tattoos? Meh. They can be okay. Mostly, I think they're stupid.
In plastic surgery? It can be abused; it can be harmless; it can be actively good. It all depends upon the person.
In love in general? Absolutely.
In animal rights? In the sense that PETA means it, no. In the sense that it's not okay to torture your cat, yes, very much. I'm kind of groping with this one and am playing around with the idea that nonsapient animals may/should be thought of as having some sort of species-level rights, but that's kind of a departure from the natural-rights foundation I tend to have for such thinking, and I don't know how to make it all fit together yet.
In the death penalty? Yeah, with reservations. I don't mind if it isn't there, but I think it's just fine - and sometimes even good - that some people die for the things they've done. "Any chance you might escape is too great to tolerate; better luck next life!" and all that.
