tinlail came over and helped with yet more cleaning today - this is all post-restoration work cleanup, tho' there's a lot of other gah underneath it all. Thanks again to him and
lyricae for all the finishing help - I'm not very good at working on this kind of thing alone. I get weird about it. The kitchen is essentially done; the upper counter needs more cleaning (the one that's shared by the kitchen and the living room) and a little caulking needs to go in. Oh, and the sink got clogged, so that'll have to be fixed. And the refrigerator needs cleaning. But other than that, it's done.
Anyway, here are some pictures. I don't have any online "before" shots handy, though. I might scan what I've got later. Oh, a couple of these are pretty-tile shots for
poodlgrl if she wants any of them.

Date: 2004-01-23 02:08 pm (UTC)Other changes are that I was going to have the overhead cabinet Mr. Fixit built have doors matching the other overhead cabints - that got so far as to have the doors built! - and hanging where the wire shelves are now. But that cabinet was too shabby to be saved, and also stuck out a bit too much in the end for that spot. And the window over the sink didn't get enlarged after all, in part because I can always do that later, and in part because, I haven't done enough with the north porch yet to make it have something worth looking at.
Oh yeah, and the cabinet-door unification that I didn't have time to do. That was the other thing.
Other than that, it's not really different than I'd intended back when I had the tile put in by Eric Clark. (Free plug: Anyone in Seattle needing a tile or stone mason should contact Empire Tile and Stone. That's Eric and Kelli's company. He does great work.)
