But I thought MS built products that LET 3rd Parties connect? Isn't that the whole concept though? To build platforms for others to expand on?

Fire has a new version out already that works again. So that round lasted about 10 minutes, and goes to Fire. 15-love.

yahoo has been snarky about Y! haven't been able to connect with trillian for something like a month now. :P

Yeah, I had to download a new version of Fire to deal with thtat, too. Trillian, I think, also has a patch. Yahoo! changed their protocol, but did ship new libraries that let third-party solutions use the service.
