I got dancers during my bit at Soul Food tonight - check the soulfoodbooks.com website for the replay of Saturday night. I'm on around 11:30ish. I'll post a better URL when I get home! ^_^

It was! There were three(!) little groups, only one of which (the medium-sized group) made it into camera. (The cameras are basically just webcams, they have to physically grab and move them to change camera angles, so options are limited. ^_^ )

Video failure for me, may try on a different computer later. At FC this year, a musician decided to setup, playing hammered dulcimer... a bit later, a couple others joined and they'd put the hat out.

I can't claim to be good, but I danced. ;-) I love to dance.

I've also made it a policy to stop and listen to buskers, and thank them both in word and money. They are giving something which I find good and brightens my world, and I gave back.

I used to walk right past buskers and street musicians.

Two things helped to change that. Reading about Joshua Bell playing in a subway station (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040401721.html) and knowing a busker.

I realized that musicians and performers are adding something to our world, and yet we focus on the banality of our everyday lives and walk on by. I always try to find time to stop and listen and thank them for their contribution, because very little in my life is more important.
