...though not for pleasure. And we're having to get there on separate flights. (It's a long story.) Which means that I got to say, in all seriousness, to Anna:

"You'll have to wait for me in Bangkok. I won't get there 'till after you."

I feel so secret-agenty. ^_^

The "long story" part is why we're going; not talking about that here. ^_^ The separate-flights thing is just that I have to return on a specific date, and the return leg of Anna's flight is booked solid that day. So I end up on a different airline. We arrive within 40 minutes of each other (in theory) so it's not that big a deal. But it's still scary, at the same time.

I was also able to say that I wished we'd be able to meet up in Tokyo first, but that the scheduling doesn't work. Oooooo, so cosmopolitan. -_^

And do you also know what kind of modem adaptor I need to deal with Thailand's phone system? ^_^

Our flight out of BKK when we were there last fall. Really amazing how many Internet cafes there are in Bangkok too, although most of them seemed to filled with loud children playing online games who insisted that I listen to the Thai pop songs they had just downloaded.

Modem-wise I'm afraid I don't have a clue.
