The Harris campaign is running ads about January 6th and Vance refusing to admit that Trump lost the 2020 election.

I think this is way worse for Vance, myself. This is what he does when he’s called on a lie. He doesn’t admit the lie, he doesn’t change what he’s saying; he squirms and whines about the fact that his lie got called out, as if calling out his libel is an affront to him personally. He’s supposed to be allowed to lie. It’s okay for him to lie. Because he deserves to be in charge. Because he’s better than you.

This is who Trump and Vance and the entire MAGA Republican Party are, right here. How dare you confront me with reality instead of my preferred lies?

Ask their people: why do you want someone like that for President?

I mean, the real reason is racism and misogyny. But still. Make ’em as uncomfortable with that as possible, because they’re pretending otherwise, and that, too, is a lie.

Just like basically everything coming out of J. D. Vance’s mouth.
