"The guidance for essential workers states that they can continue to work even after exposure to a confirmed case of Covid-19, provided they remain asymptomatic. Schools' contribution to community spread has already been a top concern for districts making the decision to open or close, so pushing teachers to continue working after potential exposure could prove controversial."

I honestly don't get the hate for the newly revised White House Rose Garden. Perhaps because I expected worse, but still. It seems perfectly reasonable, and there are parts I rather like.

I do think exposing the wall behind the colonnade was a misstep, and that the trees were doing the space a real service by hiding the terrible fenestration. But at the same time, I think the pathwork makes the space feel larger, and I like the way the space opened up a bit more, particularly opposite the colonnade wall. I think the lawn beyond the rose garden needs some work to better integrate into it, but that can be work done later.
