We figured it out!

Okay, so, as some people had correctly noted, this glyph was - on top of everything else - a word written over another word. I knew that; that's why I took the photo originally, to try to figure out what had been first, if I could, and see if that helped.

If I assume the word underneath was "plags" (or "plugs" written with an A, as was done repeatedly) and edit that out, it looks like this:

I posted that image, and people kept saying "well, obviously, it's your mukrow, duh." And I replied that I keep trying to pronounce what you'd maybe say and then write "mukrow" if you don't really speak English very well, because that's how I figured out "furnace" and "vacuum," even if the word that turned out to be furnace was written in the wrong place. But I wasn't getting anywhere.

And then Phil replied, in all caps, as suddenly it popped into his head:

MICROWAVE

And I'm sure he's right. That's what it was supposed to be. It's not that, and with the circuit off, I can't find a dead outlet, but I'm sure that's what was supposed to happen, but they hooked it up to the wrong circuit. If I assume it was hooked to the wrong circuit, it fixes a lot of stupidity about the circuit to which it's actually connected, and that circuit makes much more sense.

The question is now whether there's actually a lead somewhere either in the wall or in the crawlspace that's connected to that breaker, and whether I can fix this by attaching the wire where it was supposed to go in the first place.

And if anyone's wondering what got this whole process started, it was trying to find what circuit the dishwasher was on because I needed to pull it because it sprung a leak, and most of the breakers were either labelled "lights" or "plags." And after it took much longer than it should've to find the dishwasher, I said, "okay, we're not doing that again" and went on a circuit identification bender.

They all looked like that, before, mostly labelled "lights & plags." But now I have them all. "mukrow" was the last circuit left.
