Voter turnout as of last night in King County is at 20%. Fundamentalist turnout is always high when they have a chance to hurt queers at the ballot box, and this time will be no exception; I'm sure preachers across the state were doing their usual Election Day Reminder sermons yesterday, frothing up the flocks. So if you haven't voted, to do it right now. Yes on 71, please.

Day 2

No new song tonight. I wrote a bunch of music, but I'm not counting any of it - if I did, I'd probably count it as two minutes, but it'd end up being more than that in an actual song and I don't want to plus/minus shit. That's just dumb. Anyway, I have chords for possibly an intro, certainly a chorus and verse structure, and some linking material. And separately, I wrote a neat little bit of LOUD that will be part of a separate song I don't know anything else about yet, but I likewise recorded it and made notes.

So, yeah. I wanted to do today without relying on any of my pre-November NaNotes, because that's when it'll get difficult. And it did. But not unproductively. Tonight's work will sit in my head for a few days and hopefully turn into a song by this weekend. Fingers crossed. Tomorrow, I go back on notes.

(Oh, and recording: I put light strings on Kohaku as an experiment this weekend and while I'm not fond of them for general purpose play, I re-recorded the rhythm track for "Cascadia, How I Have Missed You" and a few other bits from other songs on these strings - there are characteristics of them I like, so I recorded everything that I thought might benefit. Maybe I'll even use some of 'em!)
