Quickie post
Apr. 28th, 2008 01:12 pmHere, have some links pulled off my friendslist! First, the fun ones:
elfs links to some awfully pretty pictures. Worksafe.
From
zarq, two links: Bad Logo Design, and video of a walk over El Camino del Rey, which may be vertigo inducing for those who have that problem, but is also made of awesome.
From the Northwest Convention League mailing list, Welcome to Steve's Weird House.
Now a vile political one:
From
elfs, we have the formerly funny but now grotesque former star of Comedy Central's Win Ben Stein's Money prostituting himself on Trinity Broadcasting Network for his creationist shill movie "Expelled," saying science leads to the Holocaust and to killing people. Directly. Note the TBN host enthusiastically agreeing.
And now an important political one:
Firedog Lake is staging a letter-writing protest to hundreds of newspapers for the complete failure to cover the Bush administration's admission of approving torture at the highest levels in defiance of both Congressional and treaty law. You might help out. Over here, you can read up about how the Justice Department is again saying that the US government can torture if it wants, at will, and how the so-called McCain "Compromise" in the Military Commissions Act was intended to create this opinion.
And also, here is a reminder of the massive Pentagon psy-op/domestic propaganda operation directed at the US public to lie about and support the Iraq war and occupation.
