Aside from all the other insanity, let me point out that if you give one single fuck about the future of the planet – not just the US, not just political systems, but the actual planet – you need to be doing everything you can to keep Orange Mussolini out of power.

We need a lot more of it, but there’s your reality, and there’s your choice. Burn down the planet to give billionaires more money and authoritarians more power, or reward – via the only method that matters, granting of power – the candidate who has actually pushed real improvement.

Rationally, this debate is insane. Irrationally, where we are now, we’re dealing with the biggest, most organised concerted effort to reject physical reality in favour of faith-based bullshit promoted by the worst people humanity can produce here in, what, maybe two centuries:

What is really happening… is nothing less than a cultural assault on any person or institution that operates in reality. If you are a weatherperson, you’re a target. The same goes for journalists, election workers, scientists, doctors, and first responders. These jobs are different, but the thing they share is that they all must attend to and describe the world as it is. This makes them dangerous to people who cannot abide by the agonizing constraints of reality, as well as those who have financial and political interests in keeping up the charade.

That’s who they are; this is where we are. Go get out there, don’t let people make excuses, get them to the polls and on the right side, and do it while you still can.
