Power still out, yup.
Dec. 15th, 2006 02:30 pmPower is still out at Murkworks North, and, for that matter, a lot of the Puget Sound region. Over one million customers p0wned. YAY. In standby news, I'm pleased to report that the oil lamp works pretty well. Also, we may get power back as soon as late this afternoon or tonight, or it could be a couple of days - they're still working to figure out the full extent of the damage. There was a really neat in that "gosh I'm glad that wasn't us" way sight on the way to the bus this morning, which is to say, a tree down on top of a pretty badly smooshed house halfway down the hill to the bus stop. Fun.
One thing going on is that I am not getting email, since, well, we're down. However, my UW account is still working, for the, oh, three of you who know what that is. You'd be better off replying to an LJ post if you need to get me something, though. Or calling me on my cell. One of those.
I had my chem final, I think one of the questions was bullshit, I didn't do nearly as well as I did on the tests that I was taking when I was actually in the course last summer and am unhappy. However, Dr. Callis said I did okay and didn't think I should be worrying about it. (He said before I took it that it was a difficult final that a lot of people found very problematic. I wondered whether he was being sarcastic at the time, and I don't think the questions I missed were actually very difficult. They were just mostly things I forgot.) Stupid fucking accident. The annoying upside to it is that at least I got all the titration-related questions right - which are from the lectures I missed and which I studied most. So that's something, anyway.
Anyway. No computer and no electricity makes Solarbird something something.
