peas and bins
Jun. 18th, 2006 06:18 pmWe have snow peas! Gosh, they grow quickly once you've got flowers. They're very sweet and taste very little like canned peas, and they're crunchy and tasty raw in the whole shell.
kathrynt, you told me about a way to cook them super quickly? The broccoli is also sending up real leaves now, and the carrot sprouts are getting larger too.
Sunday's miles: 2.6
Miles out of Hobbiton: 905.4
Miles out of Rivendell: 445.6
Miles to Lothlórien: 20.8
Today I was mostly domestic. Our old recycle bin's frame got broken, and we'd been using the baskets from it without the frame for awhile, but that was dumb.
spazzkat had some old metal lidded foot-opened trashcans with plastic sleeves which I cleaned up and labelled and such. Then, we walked down to the farmer's market and got veg and shave ice and lunch, and then I came back and kind of dozed and read more of the book I'm reading right now, The Omnivore's Dilemma.
Tomorrow, summer quarter starts. Yikes!
