not so much
Aug. 10th, 2005 10:34 pmNot too much new going on; usual weekly stuff, some work at 5038, more CascadiaCon history stuff. I have an opportunity to expand my short 750 word article on POP3 into a 1500 word article (for more dollars, yay) so I need to get to that.
Tuesday's miles: 1.0, helping look for a cat, includes some rock climbing up retaining wall rockeries and stuff.
Wednesday's miles: ZERO, because driving around. And almost getting clobbered by two drivers (I had to drive creatively and in non-driving lanes to avoid getting T-boned when idiot nr. 1 cruised through a stop sign; had to brake-and-avoid idiots nr. 2 and nr. 3 simultaneously plowing past another stop sign), and witnessed what was almost a third T-boning at the Costco parking lot.). Consider these examples of why I hate driving, but even given that, today was just nuts.
Miles out of Hobbiton: 341.3
Miles to Rivendell: 117
In other news, touching my Powerbook and then touching Anna certain ways (and only certain ways) makes an electric hum that we can both feel and hear if it's near the ears. I was also getting electric shock everywhere today, including three massive ones at Costco. (I was nowhere near the powerbook at any point during these incidents.) Very annoying.
Today's flower, another tiny one shot very close up:

Plus! Bonus neighbourhood random picture:
