small steps in large socks
Mar. 1st, 2004 12:02 amI've been playing with "Vittoria, Mio Core!" for a while recently and I sang through the first three pages today, which is a first for me. The important thing about that is that it requires me to sing a lot of Fs and Gs (the ones just below high A) which none of my other songs do. (A couple require me to hit F or G, this requires me to sing a bunch of them.) Today was good in that I did in fact sing all the Gs, whereas usually I'm kind of screeching them out. My tonality was weak and my diction blew, but all the notes were there and were solidly notes. So that's good.
In other news, the other house isn't sold, I can't find anything on the market that I'd like to buy in our price range anyway, and the ad I placed in The Stranger was, as I feared it might be, a complete waste of money. (Craigslist ads returned two potentially interested groups, one of whom has looked at it a second time already - go Craigslist!) And the rest of the time, it's about taxes. Rah.
