Overnight

The people next door had another party last night. This time with sentries posted so they could shut off the music and run inside when police showed up. That happened at least once. Then another neighbour went to talk to them after I gave up and went to bed (and managed to get to sleep... eventually) - and they threw things at him! Apparently they're going to be a bit like the "neighbours" on the north side were last year, which is extremely bad news.

Anyway, he went back to his house, phoned the police, and specifically asked for police for contact. I don't know how it ended up, but I know police were sent and they waited for backup from a second unit.

Fortunately, this is one of the few nonresident owners around here for whom I have a phone number and who actually answers his phone. I talked to him this morning; hopefully something will come of that, too.
