Two important notes for today:
- Project 2025 and its agenda are no less real than they ever were, and they have been and continue to be part of the MAGA movement’s plan for the United States. Dozens of Trump staffers, former and current – as many as 150, from some reports – were and are directly involved. And as I’ve noted before, even after dumping on Project 2025, Trump announced plans to appoint contributors to any future administration.
It really is important not to let this die. Keep hammering away, because it’s a monstrous vision and must be defeated on every level. The fact that the lead of the project – you know, the one for whom JD Vance wrote an intro calling liberals and progressives “unhumans” – delayed his book publication until after the election should tell you how repulsive Americans find it.
It should also tell you they know, and will implement it anyway, if they can.
- JD Vance is lying about Tim Walz’s military career, in direct and indisputable terms. You’ll see the term “swiftboating” used to describe this. It refers to a massive systematic lie and disinformation about John Kerry’s military service in Vietnam, one that the media helped maintain and amplify. It arguably cost Kerry the election.
The New York Times, naturally, is running with the fascist script, choosing to amplify the lie that even they acknowledge is a lie. They’re just choosing to amplify it anyway.
If you’re still a subscriber, today is a good day to stop being one, and to let them know why.
As always, do the job the media won’t, and tell your friends and family what’s actually real. And good luck out there.
88 days remain.
