What English sounds like to Italians

An Italian singer wrote this song with gibberish to sound like English. If you've ever wondered what other people think Americans sound like, this is it.I think it's pretty neat, because it really does sound like American English to me, for the most part.

Date: 2009-12-21 07:18 am (UTC)if you want to hear english-as-it-sounds-to-a-foreign-ear, you can also pick up a bit of that from the pigdin in some of fela kuti's afrobeat stuff (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfDIakTWYeA shuffering and shmiling has a few good examples -- he does pigdin latin and arabic, but the english is actually better than 'pigdin', mostly because this was one of the more straight-ahead message songs fela did)
