And action item number three: a national trans health care ban

Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene is the lead name on a fleet of anti-trans health care bans, of course, but really, it’s the entire Republican party.

Erin in the Morning has the details, but the functional status is that what she’s doing is throwing amendments into a variety of “must-pass” bills such as the Food and Drug Administration appropriations bill banning gender-affirming care for trans people.

What they want to do is force some Democrats to either cross over and support one or more of these bills with these amendments, or trigger a government shutdown. Your Democratic representatives need to get pushback on this now, or they’ll fold like accordions.
