Catholic-owned hospitals may forcibly-detransition patients

From Evan Urquhart: “the US Conference of Catholic Bishops are moving ahead with plans to force Catholic hospitals to refuse any sort of gender affirming care, which would include maintenance doses of hormone therapy for emergency patients.”

This is a particularly big deal given that in many cities, Catholic hospitals are the only hospitals. Also, it matters that paramedics have been known to refuse patient requests not to be taken to a Catholic hospital, even when a secularly-run hospital was only slightly further away.
