Is there ANY way to get rid of this stupid fucking floaty thing that covers up my previous paragraph? I mean honestly. I move my mouse and it shows up and I NEED TO SEE that previous paragraph!

It shows up other times too. Can I pin it somewhere?

eta: there is and mdlbear knew how!

I don’t hate the formatting toolbar; I hate that it covers the important part: the text!

Click the three dots in the upper right corner, and select "Top toolbar". It's the first item in the list, though YMMV depending on what plugins you have.

Wordpress is both useful and infuriating at the same time.

Because I'd been seeing this problem too writing posts for my gaming blog, and it was annoying ME as well!

(Took me a minute to figure out that it's the three dots in the top right corner of the entire Wordpress window, NOT the three dots on the actual toolbar.)
