North Dakota Republicans start taking the inevitable next step.

As was both entirely predictable and predicted, Republicans are moving past banning LGBTQ characters from "school libraries" to "all libraries." Here's a writeup on the new bill in North Dakota that does so, and defines all depections of "sexual identity" and "gender identity" as "sexually explicit."

They want to define the existence and depiction of LGBT people as obscenity. They've said this before, they're doing it now.

Someone should take them to court and talk about the sexually explicit depictions of straight white men in basically every TV show that's ever existed.

I'm sure ought to be in the works. They won't care about being proven absurd in their organized bigotry crime (yet again), of course, and such legal action will almost certainly be perverted into serving as a precedent for what the fascists want to do.
