So this is surprising: I've been spray-painting a 3D-printed planter with this dark-blue glossy Rustoleum plastic-safe spraypaint, which does a shockingly good job of hiding the 3d-printedness of at least this particular object.

But some of it gets on my hands, right? Not really from the painting itself, but from rotating the tarp-covered turntable and hanging hook. Because the tarp has paint on it.

(The planter has a dish as well, I'm painting the dish on the turntable, the planter hanging from above.)

Anyway, removing the paint has been kinda difficult, but I've discovered that De-Solv-It, which is skin-safe, absolutely obliterates it as long as you hit it before it's fully cured. Like, an hour later is okay, even when soap and water and scrubbing doesn't touch it.

It's mostly just orange oil! And since it's mostly orange oil, it really is something you can use on your own hands and not have it be, you know, terrible for you.

(I mean, don't eat it, but. And it's sure better than, idk, xylene lol)

Anyway that was my 3D printing discovery of the day. xD

Ooooh, I remember having to extract d-limonene back in organic chem class! Indeed, low toxicity, and not known to pose a mutagenic, carcinogenic, or nephrotoxic threat.
