Talking to the electricians, getting them the layout of the building, not sure they're going along with me on much of what I'm saying. Half an hour later I hear extremely promising noises in the floor and react like the cat would, and end up finding out they were able to run the wire exactly as I'd suggested, with one of them telling me "It was like, 'holy shit, she was right! She really did her homework!'"

Yeah. I did.

Yeah, this was apparently Difficult Installs day and I made installation nr. 1 into an easy install for them, so they were very happy I was right.

Good for you! You may recall the story of how Lisa threw an electrician out of our house for patronizing her and only looking at and talking to me, even though I told him, "One: she knows much more about this than I do and two: she's the one paying for this." He persisted in ignoring her and she threw him out. We ended up doing much of it ourselves (she did the work, I held tools), and the rest has never been done, but it will never be with that particular electrician.

Right now's apparently not a good time to be doing electrical in general anyway - the silicon shortage is also an electric parts shortage and everything's incredibly expensive at the moment. o.O
