And he threw out everything I said, declared me a dupe of the system/"MAIN STREAM SCIENCE"/"MAIN STREAM NEWS" and also threw out a lot of "oh YEAH? what about THIS [nonsensical and literally completely unrelated statement]?!"

(Seriously, it was like reading a response written by a Markov chain text generator. Or the Time Cube guy.)

Then said I was the racist (for calling out his racism) and that he was done with this conversation - but only with me, he demonstrated, by continuing to go after other people.

So I said "Whelp, you went straight to making me regret this, so I'm out. But as I leave, I suggest reading up on the Dunning-Kruger effect, because understanding it will really help you in the future" and noped the fuck off.

I doubt he'll get it.

I've been trying to come up with a suitable analogy to explain to these people how they sound. I'm thinking bullets. How bullets work.

You know, explosive gas projectile, all that. But I insist that's wrong.

And they try to explain and I go,

"YEAH?! Well how about ROCKETS then? And TORPEDOES. The MAIN STREAM MEDIA doesn't TELL YOU about TORPEDOES. I bet you haven't even looked INTO ufo lasers. hwo can you even TALK about ANYTHING when oyu haven't even MTNIONED CATTLE MUTILATION?"

But I just can't seem to capture the right kind of distantly-related free association. Not yet, anyway.

We can hope he'll get it. And once he has it, that he only passes it along to his fellow dupes and not anyone innocent.

Oh, and since he doesn't believe in science, he shouldn't present himself at a Hospital to be treated by that science he doesn't believe in. After all, he's a Rugged Induhvidualist so it's up to him to suffer through the disease all on his own, right?

He had a lot of... interesting ideas about medicine. But as seems to be the norm here, if he did, he'd go in and then be one of those people who insist it's fake and fraud even as they're getting ready to tube him up.

I can't remember where I saw it now, but I saw a Twitter thread by a Nurse who spoke of a man like him. He was in the ward, surrounded by intubated patients and he still insisted that it's all a fraud.
