ups elda is in trouble
Aug. 6th, 2020 04:48 pmokay, so, we've been having a ground fault issue on the server rack and i invented and built a simple testing tool and it WORKS iT WoRkS it wORKS! and as a result now I know this:
ups ELDA is handing the ground pin 54-57vAC at 17mA and 7-20vDC (variable) at variable up to 19mA.
I can confidently say That's Bad and I've pulled it and stuck server elda on ups LODESTON with server lodestone while I try to figure out if there's any way an internal lead-acid battery fault could cause this.
I don't think so, but am I wrong? Could it?
eta: ex-MSFT friend came up with a good test and it's definitely not the battery. Ding!
