The Fascism edition is the smallest today. Too bad it's not because it's no longer a thing.

This "pigs in a blanket" chant was chanted by a small group in Minnesota during a protest five years ago...but Tucker Carlson showed the clip last week and Sean Hannity showed it earlier this month.

State Department: White supremacist terror 'on the rise and spreading'
By J. Edward Moreno - 06/25/20

Racial and ethnic terrorism, particularly white supremacist threats, are "on the rise and spreading geographically" according to a State Department report released Wednesday.
“The threat posed by racially or ethnically motivated terrorism (REMT), particularly white supremacist terrorism, remained a serious challenge for the global community,” the report reads.
In 2019, the world experienced an uptick in white terrorism, such as the Christchurch, New Zealand, mosque shooting in March and the El Paso, Texas, shooting in August.
White terrorist groups “increasingly target immigrants; Jewish, Muslim, and other religious minorities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or intersex (LGBTI) individuals; governments; and other perceived enemies,” the report found.
In April, the State Department designated a white supremacist group, the Russian Imperial Movement, as a "foreign terrorist organization" for the first time.

PORTLAND — Tusitala “Tiny” Toese, a member of the far right-wing group the Proud Boys, has been jailed in Portland for violating his parole, a TV station reported Thursday.
Court records show Toese was spotted in Seattle earlier this month in an area that’s been taken over by protesters that’s called the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP), according to KOIN-TV.
Toese was allegedly involved in an assault in the area and didn’t get permission from his probation officers to travel to Seattle, the station reported.
He gained attention in the past for fighting in Portland during political protests and fled the Pacific Northwest after being indicted on felony assault charges.
In January, Toese pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from a 2018 incident that left a protester with “stitches and a concussion.” Prosecutors dismissed a felony assault charge as part of Toese’s plea deal.

The Madison Police Department is investigating an assault on an 18-year-old Black woman as a potential hate crime after she was burned on the face and neck early Wednesday morning.
Althea Bernstein told Madison365 that someone yelled the N-word at her and threw lighter fluid and a lighter through her open car window as she was driving in the State Street area in downtown Madison.
According to a police incident report recorded Thursday morning, Bernstein saw four white men approach her car that night. The report says one of them used a spray bottle to deploy a liquid on her face and neck, and then threw a flaming lighter at her, causing the liquid to ignite.
Bernstein reportedly drove forward, patted out the flames, and drove home, where her mother encouraged her to go to a hospital. Hospital staff believed the liquid was lighter fluid. She was treated for burns, and will need to make follow-up visits for additional medical care.
Police investigators are looking at surveillance images to see if any of the assault was captured on camera.
Michael Johnson, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County, has been asked by Bernstein's family to share their official statement. He spoke with Bernstein via video chat today, and said she had been treated for second and third degree burns.
