"The thing we have going for us, especially when there's intense division in the country, is that we have peaceful transfers of power and a way of resolving it is to have an election," Barr said in an interview that will air this Sunday on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures" with anchor Maria Bartiromo.
"But when state governments start adopting these practices like mail-in ballots, that open the floodgates of potential fraud, then people's confidence in the outcome of the election is going to be undermined," he added.

Attorney General William P. Barr said Saturday that President Trump had fired the top federal prosecutor in New York, ending an unprecedented standoff between Barr and U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman, who had resisted being removed from his post.
Barr informed Berman of the president’s move in a sharply worded letter, explaining that Berman’s deputy, Audrey Strauss, will serve as the acting U.S. attorney in Manhattan until the Senate can confirm a permanent replacement. Under Berman, the office managed a number of sensitive investigations involving people close to Trump, including his personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani.
Barr wrote that he had hoped for Berman’s “cooperation to facilitate a smooth transition” in the office as Trump nominates the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Jay Clayton, to take over the job. Instead, the attorney general wrote, Berman had chosen “public spectacle.”
In a statement Saturday evening, Berman said that because Barr had respected “the normal operation of law” by appointing his deputy to lead the office, he would step aside.

Pittsboro, N.C. — A protest in downtown Pittsboro turned violent on Thursday as people clashed over a Confederate monument that had been removed by Chatham County in late 2019.
According to witnesses, multiple people suffered injuries. A woman could be seen bleeding from the face in a Facebook live video.
Witnesses told WRAL News that those who wanted to defend the monument struck counterprotesters with hockey sticks that they were using as flagpoles.
The Pittsboro Police Department has taken out a warrant against one individual, Tommy Parnell of Surry County, who was seen behaving violently. His charges include assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and assault on a female.
Social media posts indicate that the individual named in the warrant was with the pro-Confederate group.
"It was like a mob attacking individuals with different poles and sticks and different things of that nature," said witness Kerwin Pittman, who took the cell phone video. "And that is highly unacceptable."
Pro-Confederate protesters plan to continue to demonstrate at the site.

(CNN) Attorney General Bill Barr's effort to push out one of the most powerful prosecutors in the country ran into headwinds Saturday, with Republicans signaling little appetite to fight to confirm a new US attorney amid Democratic accusations that the move was an effort to shield President Donald Trump's associates from federal investigation.
Republicans on Capitol Hill were blindsided by the late Friday night effort by Barr to seek the ouster of Geoffrey Berman, whose office at the Southern District of New York was investigating Trump confidante Rudy Giuliani and other sensitive matters. After Barr had announced that Berman would be stepping down, the New York prosecutor said Friday he would not resign until there's a Senate-confirmed replacement.
But Republicans on Capitol Hill showed little willingness to confirm a new nominee without Democratic support -- meaning there's a real possibility that the nomination of Jay Clayton to replace him could languish and Berman could stay at the post indefinitely.

It's essentially already been released since booksellers have copies in their possession.

Pittsboro, N.C. — A protest in downtown Pittsboro turned violent on Thursday as people clashed over a Confederate monument that had been removed by Chatham County in late 2019.
According to witnesses, multiple people suffered injuries. A woman could be seen bleeding from the face in a Facebook live video.
Witnesses told WRAL News that those who wanted to defend the monument struck counterprotesters with hockey sticks that they were using as flagpoles.
The Pittsboro Police Department has taken out a warrant against one individual, Tommy Parnell of Surry County, who was seen behaving violently. His charges include assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and assault on a female.
Social media posts indicate that the individual named in the warrant was with the pro-Confederate group.
"It was like a mob attacking individuals with different poles and sticks and different things of that nature," said witness Kerwin Pittman, who took the cell phone video. "And that is highly unacceptable."
Pro-Confederate protesters plan to continue to demonstrate at the site.

(CNN) Attorney General Bill Barr's effort to push out one of the most powerful prosecutors in the country ran into headwinds Saturday, with Republicans signaling little appetite to fight to confirm a new US attorney amid Democratic accusations that the move was an effort to shield President Donald Trump's associates from federal investigation.
Republicans on Capitol Hill were blindsided by the late Friday night effort by Barr to seek the ouster of Geoffrey Berman, whose office at the Southern District of New York was investigating Trump confidante Rudy Giuliani and other sensitive matters. After Barr had announced that Berman would be stepping down, the New York prosecutor said Friday he would not resign until there's a Senate-confirmed replacement.
But Republicans on Capitol Hill showed little willingness to confirm a new nominee without Democratic support -- meaning there's a real possibility that the nomination of Jay Clayton to replace him could languish and Berman could stay at the post indefinitely.
