Okay. So. No pretence about anything but a whitewash, the only question is what kind of whitewash would be best, politically.

Good.

The GOP is now fully the party of foreign interference in elections, of fraudulent elections, and treason.

At least they aren't going to be lying about _that_ part.

I am still boggling that they have completely abandoned their opposition to China and Russia. They made a very consistent display, for almost seventy years, of opposing communism, and now they've blatantly abandoned it all in favor of looting and dictatorship.

I mean, I never agreed with them, but they seemed sincere. I remember the Cold War. And now some of the *same people* are directly conspiring with our ancient enemies to overthrow the legitimate U.S. government. !?!?!

But yeah. Looting and authoritarianism. It's the culture the GOP imported from the evangelical fundamentalists and they can do it because they don't believe in the legitimacy of opposition. They're the only Americans, everybody else is... not. So.
