I'm thinking I'm going to fill in the underside with a metal fill epoxy. I've ordered some Hy-Poxy AlumBond which is for engines and thick fills so I know it can handle vibrations, and that should turn these things basically into the aluminium bricks they really ought to be in the best world. ^_^
