I would add, "Because a member of his inner circle and someone on his shortlist for vice president just retweeted yet another overtly anti-Semitic Jewish conspiracy theory tweet."

I keep saying this, but the unforgivable crime of the Trump campaign is bringing overt white supremacists back into the political process. I mean it: this is unforgivable.

It is getting to the point that I'm actively considering unplanning my (tentatively) planned US travel for 2017. I am actively NOT planning any travel involving Russia and Turkey, and from this foreign perspective, the US is at high risk of soon being in the same "not safe! not safe!" category.

On a slightly less immediate front, I am semi-actively planning departing the country in which I've lived for roughly a third of my life, because its leadership is making a show of aiming it down the "not safe to be non-local" shit-hole. :(
