solarbirdThose pledges to support any nominee (Trump, really) at the end of the Republican debate last night? Those were about supporting whoever comes out of the convention, no matter how many rules got changed or broken to arrange it.
In other words, it's it's part of the groundwork for getting the rank-and-file to accept a rules-suspended brokered national convention arranged to defeat Mr. Trump. Of course. That shouldn't've taken me so long, I should've realised that immediately.
