solarbirdHonestly, this isn't one of Taibbi's best pieces. His thesis is reasonable, but it's mostly opinion and ranting after that, he's completely ignoring both the racism and authoritarian drivers of all of this, and the Idiocracy isn't doing him any favours. But the underlying assertion that the GOP have been training their rank and file to devalue analysis and data is true, and harks back to the 1990s when I was talking about fundamentalist culture overtaking the GOP. And, well, here we are.
