Biking to Bothell and other stuff.
May. 18th, 2002 12:05 pmIt's been a while since I posted anything other than quizzes!
So
spazzkat and I biked up to Bothell and back yesterday afternoon - 28 miles round-trip in a little under three hours. That was fun. We ran into someone we both knew from the Publisher days, which was funny, since I'd run into her while on Jury Duty a couple of months ago, too.
Then after dinner, I sanded the new hallway floor twice again and made this icky patch-paste out of sanding dust and Varathane and used it to fill the cracks between boards. (
imalion and I have been putting down a hardwood floor.) It seemed to work, but we'll see! I've never done this before and I can't imagine doing it over a whole huge floor - I think I'd rather pay burly workers with heavy machinery to do it instead! (Of course, lacking the money for that, I will sand yet again later this afternoon.)
I think it's coming out well, though. It's certainly better than the old floor - any of the old floors, really - but that's not exactly a difficult goal. I'm just glad an end is (finally) in sight. I'm not looking forward to sanding the varathane, though. :-p
I also want to get together with
kathrynt and
jessicac for shopping. I need more summer clothes, and possibly stop by the makeup counter while we're at it.
And, for no good reason, have another quiz:

You have high standards for yourself, and try desperately to live up to them. But when you are unable to reach those goals, you fall into a deep depression. People see you as a brilliant person, yet inside, you are full of self-doubt and fear of failure. You need to set more reasonable goals.
Your song is: About to Crash
Which degree of inner turbulence are you?

Um. What else. I owe a bunch of people who aren't on livejournal letters. So maybe I'll do that this weekend, too. We're going to the streetfair today but it's been raining real rain and not just drizzle (hi, can you tell I'm in Seattle?) which is why we haven't already gone yet. All made up and nowhere to go. Well, at least, not in the rain.
Okay, bored now. Time to see whether people want to go!
