Date: 2015-09-05 02:23 pm (UTC)I just heard on _Weekend Edition_ this morning that the US government is about to auction off the island where for years the only US research on Foot and Mouth Disease was allowed. A private island with a built-in biological research lab. Oh, and its own lighthouse! :-)
