Dunno what the rules are in Occupied Cascadia, but round these parts the tax guys make us hold onto all our records for many years afterwards.

Oh, they do. This is the stuff I don't have to keep. I have a grocery bag full of that. The stack I retain is about 15cm high, including the envelopes into which it is sorted, and the larger grocery bag I use to collect each year's worth.
