Okay! I am now officially off “positioning.” I still have a variety of restrictions (no facing up except briefly, no heavy lifting, can’t cut back eye steroid drops yet, no contacts yet, etc) but, still, this will be far more normal.

Also, my vision is still a mess, but that’ll improve over time – there’ll be a big jump when the last of the bubble clears out of my right eye. Looking at it, as I can’t avoid, I’d say Monday for that, probably. Possibly Tuesday.

Hopefully this time it will stick. Literally, as I told Anna.

Yay!

Now, VENT that pent-up frustration and rage!

(I'll be over here, hiding in my bunker. On Mars.)

I've been sending you good thoughts since this began. I'd like to say that now I UNDERSTAND, too. On Monday I had four retinal tears "spot-welded" via laser (ick/ouch). Because of your posts I knew a little about it, why they were asking the questions they did, and so on. Afterward I was so very grateful when they told me that I didn't need to do the positioning routine -- unless/until it progresses to a retinal detachment, like yours did.

Although you said in a later post that you're sick of writing about the eye issues, I do appreciate your sharing the information. Until Monday I had no idea that I had retinal problems. It's scary and knowing that you are managing to deal with it helps me to not be so terrified. Thank you for that.

May all be well for you! Soon.
