My familiar (or "bud"), Dalamar, has a habit of sitting next to me on my desk while I'm on the computer, and tilting his head ever so slightly while raising his right paw to touch my nose, as if to say "hey, look at me, I'm cute." Somewhere I have pictures of him sitting on my desk chair with the "superman" cape he used to wear all the time. couldn't get it off of him for the world (he wouldn't have it), until one day it just fell off and noone could find it.

When Mugwort and Machine were kittens, they would both crawl onto bed with us at night, and as they got tired Machine would in Mugwort down and start licking his ear. It was really loud and Mugwort would struggle against it, but even though Machine was smaller he was great at getting just the right ear-licking-headlock. It was a weird sound and he would lick Mugwort until half his head was wet to the touch - yuck. So I'd hide Mugwort's ears with my hands and Machine would spend a while trying to wrestle my hands out of his way - sometimes he succeeded but mostly he lost, and over time he got out of the habit.

I really miss Mugwort and worry so much over Machine.
