heaven ain't close
Nov. 25th, 2007 12:41 amMore transcription today - I'm really slow at this. One (quite long) piece I transcribed largely as recorded, the other (incomplete) piece I mostly rewrote, which is okay, except it didn't really have an ending before and it doesn't have any more of one now. Also, it just kind of wanders around rather than doing anything, a problem I have in general.
If you counted fragments and variations as separate songs, which I really don't, I'd have 12 pieces in some form of transcription, and another 3-4 or so left to transcribe, quality, um, not really remembered right now. It's late and I'm sleepy.
(I have sadly little confidence in any of these, of course. But the point of this is to write at all, rather than write only that which is good. I have my own mountain of junk to drill through before I can start getting to any good bits, as one does.)
In unrelated news, Battlestar Galactica: Razor holds up well in a second viewing. I'm also quite glad I got to see it on a large theatre screen for all the tasty tasty eye candy, even if HDTV-resolution stuff looks a little videogamey that large.
Jam tomorrow, here. I will show stuff to people and they can mock it.
