When I was editing one of the other City Series photos, I realised that one little section looked a lot like old Impressionist paintings of the French countryside, tho' with more mountains than you'd usually expect. So I used Photoshop effects to make one!

If you were to, for example, go about selling the first one as a print (or providing a prospective client with the digital form for the creation of a print at his own expense) what do you suppose might be involved?

Mm. I'd be happy to do that, but I don't have the original in very high resolution - it's a zoomed-and-cropped section of a larger shot, and even though it was shot at a reasonable resolution, by the time you get that far in, it isn't all that much.

I have some ideas about things I could do to make a print-resolution version, though, that I could probably get away with since it's all impressionism eventually. But I'd be re-creating it from scratch to get up that far.

We could talk about it in email. I'm totally amenable.

I'm beginning to wonder if you'd be interested in the bunch of pictures *I* took at the same time.

Then gain, you might already have them, unless you deleted them, because I believe that those would be among the pictures you burned on a CD for me so I could empty my memory card.

Not that I was very good at keeping my camera steady. Some of them are decidedly crooked. Apart from that, they are almost the same as yours.

The "Downtown Seattle" picture, is it a composite of three shots, merged together, or do you have a very very wide angle lens?

It's not even my camera. ^_^ It's my housemate's little Canon pocket digital. So I don't remember what the range is on the zoom... or, hum, now that I think about it, how far in or out I was zoomed when I shot the photo. Sorry!

Oh, but no, it's not a composite. It's a single shot, cropped for height.
