Half my cards got returned in the mail yesterday, with a note saying that because they're square, I have to add an extra 12¢ postage to each. It would have been nice if they'd mentioned that at the post office when I was buying the postage and had the cards and envelopes right there with them. The other half - I don't know where they are. Hopefully they're still on their way. Otherwise, they may come back as well, even later.

2005 was better than 2004 and 2003 and probably 2002, but in many ways lacked the high points those years also had to help redeem them as unpleasant, but worthwhile. Hopefully 2006 will be better, and not so much of a dreary, unpleasant slog. Fingers crossed.

がんばって, everybody. Welcome, 2006.

Happy New Year 2006

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is 100%. You are not suited for a monogamous relationship.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

That's happened to me, too. Sorry you had to find out the hard way.

We got ours! It's lovely, Violet particularly loved it as her favorite thing to play now is "pixie' and she decided it was a pixie! Mine for you is still sitting here, as I didn't update my add less with the new North address. I *had* it since I had to provide it for the the baby shower invite list. Anyway, I had like 5 "problematic address" cards and they are still sitting here.

I received mine okay!
P.O. is clearly screwed up to be sending some but not others. I think the "square" excuse is really lame and probably untrue. I don't think they should charge you more. It's only over-size and over-weight that should be getting extra postage.
